hi! i’m happy you’re here.
I’m Emily (Carroll) Negi, LMFT, a therapist, creative, and deeply curious human who believes healing happens in relationship. I offer therapy for adults in Nashville, Tennessee and virtually throughout Tennessee and Vermont, supporting people navigating trauma, relationships, life transitions, grief, and the beautifully complicated experience of being human.
My work is rooted in warmth, honesty, and creating spaces where people can show up fully as themselves without needing to perform, explain perfectly, or "have it all figured out."
Together, we make space for the messy, meaningful, complicated parts of being human.
my approach to therapy
Trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodrama, and Breathwork, I integrate experiential and evidence-based approaches to help clients connect more deeply with themselves. The work invites both insight and embodiment—supporting clients in understanding their inner world while also creating space for meaningful emotional release and integration.
Therapy with me can look like reflection, laughter, deep feeling, curiosity, grounding, grief, insight, and sometimes sitting with the hard stuff together.
who I work with
I work with adults navigating trauma, relationships, identity, anxiety, grief, life transitions, postpartum experiences, body image, and the complicated layers of simply being human.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, relational, and rooted in creating a space that feels safe, collaborative, and deeply human.
my background
I’ve worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including university counseling, outpatient care, residential treatment with Onsite, and private practice, supporting people navigating trauma, relationships, identity, grief, addiction, and life transitions.
My work is deeply influenced by training in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1 & Level 2), Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO), Psychodrama, and Breathwork. I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and am licensed in Tennessee and Vermont (telehealth only).
Prior to working as a therapist, I spent time in the nonprofit world after earning my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. That experience continues to shape the way I approach care - - relationally, collaboratively, and with deep respect for the complexity of being human.
a bit more about me
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy being a mom, spending time with my family and friends, creating art, having meaningful conversations, and savoring the simple joys- like a good manicure, a shared meal, and a really solid hug.
Healing rarely happens all at once. Sometimes healing begins with simply having a space where you can finally exhale.
If you’re feeling ready to begin, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You can request a consultation below to see if working together feels like a good fit.
